Meet our founders
Skye & Kelly
Chartered physiotherapists, parents, and Portishead neighbours — Skye and Kelly founded Severn Physiotherapy to bring skilled, person-centred therapy into people's homes right across the South West.

Skye Ramell
Founder, Partner and Physiotherapist
Skye co-founded Severn Physiotherapy with Kelly Steed. She is a chartered Physiotherapist with extensive community and rehabilitation experience, and a passion for person-centred care.
Skye develops fantastic rapport with her patients and their families. She supports people to achieve their goals and optimise their mobility at any level.
Skye enjoys running and cycling and can often be found attending visits on her bike! She has 2 children and a cat who keep her busy.

Kelly Steed
Founder, Partner and Physiotherapist
Kelly co-founded Severn Physiotherapy LLP with Skye Ramell after working in the NHS community teams. She qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2012 and has a BSc degree in Experimental Psychology. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their support network, helping set individual goals and positively encouraging people to push themselves. Kelly works mainly in elderly care helping prevent falls and managing long term conditions and frailty. She loves exercise and promotes "use it or lose it" to everyone!
Kelly is empathetic and communicates well with her patients and the wider team around them to ensure optimum care.
Physiotherapy came after a career in marketing and teaching English abroad and she still loves to travel. She has lots of animals and 3 children who she treasures.

Faye Turner
MSc Occupational Therapy — Dementia Practitioner
Faye qualified as an Occupational Therapist from Cardiff University in 2010 after a degree in Psychology. She has worked in NHS mental health and intermediate care rehab teams, and now works as a Dementia Practitioner alongside her work with Severn Physiotherapy.

Natalie Grinczer
Physiotherapist — MSK, Community & Sport
Natalie qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2015 from the University of Birmingham. She has worked for the NHS across MSK clinics and the community, with experience in falls prevention, post-operative rehab and neurological rehabilitation. She also has expertise in sport-specific rehab and cycling.

Xanthe Stone
Physiotherapist — Stroke Specialist
Xanthe qualified as a physiotherapist in 2021 from the University of West of England and has been working as a community physiotherapist in North Somerset and Bristol.
She has gained a wealth of experience working in various community roles and can assess and treat a wide range of problems and conditions such as falls, frailty, dementia, osteoarthritis, other muscular and joint aches and pains, pre and post operative rehab, managing breathlessness for respiratory conditions and neurological rehabilitation for conditions like Parkinson's disease and stroke.
Xanthe specialises in stroke physiotherapy, helping people to achieve their goals and support them to live well following their stroke.
She is kind, caring and friendly and really takes the time to listen to her patients and understand what is important to them. She will always work at the pace of a person and encourage them to progress when they are ready, all whilst making physiotherapy sessions enjoyable and fun.

Annie Preston
Physiotherapist — Falls and Elderly Care Specialist
Annie qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2009 from Coventry University after completing a degree in biology at Cardiff University. She has worked in the NHS for just under 10 years and specialised in 2012 into elderly care where she has worked in a NHS community based Falls Prevention Service as well an hospital based acute complex elderly service.
Annie is very passionate about working with the elderly in order to improve quality of life, increase confidence with day to day tasks and ensure they can achieve the goals they set. She has a wealth of experience in completing comprehensive geriatric assessments, falls prevention, strength and balance training alongside frailty and dementia. She takes pride in ensuring all treatments are person centred alongside setting realistic goals for every client. She understands how reduced mobility, fear of falling and having falls can impact on day to day life and has a passion to help improve mobility, reduce falls risk and increase confidence.
She brings a warm, person-centred approach to every home visit with excellent feedback from her clients, their families and local GPs.
Outside of work Annie enjoys strength training at the gym and spending time with her family.

Rhiannon Kelland
Physiotherapist — Neurological Therapy
Rhiannon qualified as a Physiotherapist from Sheffield Hallam in 2002, spent several years honing her basic skills in all the key areas of physiotherapy (as well as travelling the world!) and then has spent the last 18 years mainly working within the speciality of Neurology, supporting patients to manage their long-term neurological conditions. She has worked predominantly in the community, with a passion to support patients to live their best lives, even with life limiting conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease and brain tumours. She has worked with several private providers, providing rehabilitation to complex patients following brain and spinal cord injury. She has completed further training regarding medication for spasticity and neuropathic pain.
More recently she has developed a specialist interest in pelvic health, taking a year away from neurology to work in an acute pelvic health service, gaining skills and knowledge on the impact of the perinatal period and menopause. She can assess pelvic floor muscles, to support management of incontinence, prolapse and sexual dysfunction. She provided ante-natal and post-natal group sessions to provide information and guidance to pregnant women and new mothers, as well as assessing musculo-skeletal issues during pregnancy and immediately post partum.
Rhiannon is a qualified Pilates instructor and uses the fundamental principles from this approach to support her patients. She is passionate about shared decision-making, working collaboratively with patients to achieve their goals.
Outside of work Rhiannon has a young family and a very energetic border collie, who conspire to keep her very busy!!

Vicky Paynter
Physiotherapist — Elderly Care & Post-Op Rehab
Vicky qualified as a physiotherapist in 2000 from the University of East London. Since qualifying she has worked in the NHS and private practice, both in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. She has experience in a wide range of specialties including neurology, older people's rehabilitation, orthopaedics and musculoskeletal conditions.
Vicky is dedicated to providing personalised care for each client and believes in making a positive impact on the lives of clients by working with them to maximise their strength, mobility and independence to help them to achieve their own individual goals.
Outside of work Vicky has been exploring the different parkruns around the country and abroad. She lives with a menagerie including a dog, 3 cats and 2 fish!

Emily Morrison
Physiotherapist — Elderly Care, Neurology & Respiratory
Emily is a qualified Physiotherapist (BSc Hons), graduating in 2003 and currently working as a Physiotherapy Technician after a short period in a NHS managerial role. She holds specialist diplomas in COPD and Asthma, alongside master’s‑level modules in Health Management and Clinical Exercise.
With over 4.5 years’ experience as a local Parkinson’s Practitioner, Emily has supported individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease, Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). She also brings six years of expertise managing the Home Oxygen Service and Pulmonary Rehabilitation team locally, working closely with people managing long‑term respiratory conditions.
Emily’s professional passion lies in older adult rehabilitation in acute and long term management. She is dedicated to helping individuals regain confidence, maximise independence, and achieve meaningful physical goals.
